Working on a box elder bowl. It’s 10.75“ diameter by 3.25” high. The wood is mostly dry and it Is taking a fair amount of sanding to hide my tool marks. There is a small hole in the rim that I will fill with pink coral dust.
Today’s project began with making a new glue jig. I think this began with a comment by Buckingham. I bolted a 36” piece of 1-1/4” punched square tube to 3/4” stock about 7” wide and 36” long. i Covered the stock with red Suretape.
I wanted to glue 6 1/8” x 7/8” x q14” ststrips together. See pics for the glue and clamp process.
