Alan Trout and his Tobin Hill Turning Studio reside in the historic Tobin Hill neighbor- hood on the north end of downtown San Antonio, Texas. It is an eclectic neighborhood with a growing art community that helps feed Alan's creativity.  His works are wood turnings, but with a surprise element: resins are cast into wood burls, root balls, and other found organic material to create what he likes to call "Syntho-Organic Forms.” These techniques and style are unique to Alan's work.
