Since 2000,  the San Antonio Empty Bowls has raised nearly $600,000 to support families and individuals right here in San Antonio who are homeless or on the brink of housing disaster. Artists contribute bowls that are sold, and 100% of the ticket sales go to SAMMinistries. In the past the majority of the bowls were ceramic, but wood turners are beginning to participate. 

 

For the last two years, several Alamo Woodturners contributed some of their creations for these events. Some of our bowls are shown below:
